A Massapequa family wanted to build a new in-ground pool in their backyard. After looking at the soil borings located near the proposed pool area, the EOR noticed weak soil layers near the surface, prompting them to design a deep foundation system using MPS helical piles. Even though the installation site had a high water table that was visible during excavation, a dewatering system was not required since helical piles can be installed in wet soil conditions. The 14 MPS helical piles were successfully installed by FSR’s crew of certified helical pile installers in less than one full working day.
