The family living on this waterfront property noticed the old wooden retaining wall at the rear of their home was failing so they hired the engineers at Robinson & Muller Engineers to design a new retaining wall. The engineer chose to specify MacLean Power Systems (MPS) helical piles, due to their proven track record, to support the footing of the retaining wall. FSR, an MPS certified helical pile installer, was contracted to install 19 MPS helical piles to support the new concrete retaining wall. The installation site, however, was on an incredibly steep incline and was less than 50 feet from Huntington Harbor, a location where most pile types would be impossible to install. Even with these challenging conditions, FSR utilized their portable drive equipment to successfully install the 19 MPS helical piles in less than two full working days.
